INTERACTING has been organizing tailor-made teacher training courses in the UK, Ireland, Spain and around the world for more than 20 years and has been a provider of courses on the Erasmus + and Comenius Life-Long Learning Programme for 15 years.

Our belief and experience is that drama is the most effective, practical, and enjoyable resource to stimulate learning in the classroom.

Developed to overcome the way English, foreign languages and other subjects have traditionally been taught in the classroom,  INTERACTING courses offer step-by-step solutions to applying drama and communication techniques to classroom management, while  developing teachers’ personal confidence in the process.

COURSE PROGRAMME 2020-2021

Training for primary and postprimary teachers

The collaborative training courses we offer respond to teachers’ professional  development needs in light of national curriculum priorities and highlight the relationship between performance and teaching skills.

A strong group dynamic within a “safe” environment allows teachers to put themselves in the position of their students and try out new techniques. Result: a skills base that both enhances
teaching delivery and motivates learners.

INTERACTING courses cater for teachers of all levels and are delivered through a variety of plenary sessions, seminars and workshops that kick off with icebreakers and introductions, then on to group work, building confidence, improving communication skills, language theatre sports, and
voice techniques.

“PLAY TO LEARN”
&
“MAKING SENSE”

Playing is a natural condition of the human being and constitutes the very first and most effective approach to learning.

In education, playing is a key tool makes possible the students’ immersion into the educational world, helping them to both acquire and strengthen their learning skills.

playingCLIL

InterActing, together with its European partners, has developed a brand new methodology, based on the use of games and activities within the CLIL education system.

Our proposal consists of a series of theatre-based games and activities in which students are constantly encourage to take part actively, interacting, collaborating and competing among themselves, while making the most of all their five senses to ensure the fulfillment of the goal.

Language skills are built up and put into practice to reinforce the learning of the content through fun activities that imply a challenge for the students. These activities and games are tailor made, and adapted in each case according to the subject, the age, the level and the previous knowledge of the language.
